In the spirit of wrap-ups, recaps, and goal setting...a 2025 Schae's Place Wrap Up felt necessary! We grew a lot and tried a lot of new things, and the response was always positive and worth the growing pains. So, what worked? What didn't? Join in on the conversation at the end of the blog - we would love to hear feedback on how we can improve for next year and moving forward.

 Record breaking online sessions

We accomplished over 5,000 sessions in 2025! That means 5,000 times one of YOU decided to browse and take a look at the site. From blogs to products, you really couldn't help but stick around! 

A 68% increase from 2024 is certainly something to brag about! The marketing efforts were very consistent on Twitter; it was really interesting to learn more Shopify tools to make updates to the website! Those simple tweets and curious clicks helped a lot this year. You never know who is watching! 

Speaking of cross-posting and marketing, Canva really helped with scheduling tweets, Facebook/Instagram posts and even Pinterest pins. I spent a few hours a week writing captions and making graphics for an extended period of time. I keep hoping for Canva to improve its content planning features for premium users, but we will continue to use what we pay for! 

For 2026 we truly desire to improve on email marketing. A monthly newsletter would keep the community of over 70 email subscribers in the loop about what's coming and what's new. I always promise not to flood your inbox, but I think I am free to send a little more than 4 or 5 emails annually...

Schae's Showcase was introduced in January as an exclusive opportunity for the Discord members that made an impact on the space and their individual communities. It evolved and eventually even curated a backlog of amazing creators and organizations to write about!

We fulfilled 84 orders! 

Thank you for purchasing handmade art! There were an influx of honest orders, but we definitely suffered from online scams for digital downloads. We fought and disputed many chargebacks due to folks taking advantage of the $3 digital downloads. Is this a Shopify related issue? Or just a consequence of selling digital products? 

Any feedback or suggestions on how to avoid these issues, please educate me in the comment section of this blog!

With just under $500 in gross sales for the year, this is a HUGE win as a handmade artist. We all suffered from many economic changes this year, so we are extremely grateful to anyone that decided to use their hard earned cash on lil ol' Schae.

2025 is going to be hard to beat!

There was plenty of growth and ideas expanded on with this website. At a minimum cost of $50 a month just to keep the website live, I did not profit financially. However, the increase of exposure, the highlights and collaborations, and the new things I learned from trial, error, and exploration have allowed me to gain a ton of knowledge!

For 2026 I want Schae's Place to really kick up the marketing and be a topic of discussions in more rooms. We have successfully completed 3 giveaways and 3 charity fundraisers totaling over $200, and plan to continue the efforts to give back to other communities and creators. 

Through cross-platform marketing and committing to building my brand, I am eager to take up opportunities to share my art and my story through conventions, meet-ups, and sponsorships. A career in content creating and community building seems extremely attainable and I'm willing to work diligently with countless sleepless nights to make it happen.
