SheIsBoogie's experience with SistaShootas started with her best friend and teammate, Maurisha. The two naturally bonded over the love of Apex Legends: a free-to-play, online multiplayer battle royale game where players choose from a roster of unique "Legends" to compete in squads of three. As their connection grew, so did the opportunities to help others. SheIsBoogie joined in 2021 as an official Apex Legends coach for SistaShootas and has been able to assist thousands of gamers improve their play techniques and survivability within the game. SheIsHumble about her beginnings and certainly gives flowers to all those who support her along the way:
"Seeing Maurisha be a founder, a woman, and content creator showed me a woman who wants to win. As the years went on, I helped, supported, and enjoyed her company at conventions to where I’m the C.O.O of SistaShootas. She’s one of the reasons why I go so hard in this space, because as my best friend she is always there for me."
As of August 2025, SheIsBoogie is now an official content creator with Apex Legends.

What are your career goals?
I want to break into esports as a caster or competitor in Apex Legends and/or coach. I want to create a space to help marginalized BIPOC creators in esports to help fund their career and/or journey as an esports player.
What would you suggest to other individuals in similar fields you are in that are looking for guidance? How would you encourage them?
I would suggest to continue finding the positive people who speak positivity into you. On days I'm down and feel so defeated I have 3-4 friends that I KNOW will yell at me through the phone, Maurisha, Bnice, Anca, & RealTime.. Now I know folks who will give me pep talk, however, THEM 4 WILL YELL. AT. ME
They remind me who I am, the accolades, my journey, and help me shake the funk. Find your circle and start it out SMALL! Continue to work with them and guide one another. I always encourage folks that reach out to never be ashamed or scared to reach out to anyone if you need help or advice.
