Congrats Summer '24 Ambassadors!

As a black and woman owned business, Schae’s Place has found many ways to expand its network and support others along the way. The ambassador program launched its debut this June with the intent of sharing free gifts, promotions, brand exposure, and resources to people from anywhere in the world! We desired to find individuals who exude creativity, uniqueness, boss mentality, and kindness. After reviewing over 20 applications for this program, we were excited for the turn out, but were limited to offer a few spots. With your financial support via donation or purchasing handmade art, we can expand the winter session opportunities to more unique individuals!

Please welcome Tamara, Marcaren, and Ofelia!

These women are the powerhouses of their communities. They are creative and kind, and never fail to brighten a room with their vibrant energy. We can learn a lot from their journeys and we trust that this spotlight is just a stepping stone to something greater in their paths. Schae’s Place may not be the biggest or fanciest brand, but it is an honor to work with individuals who strive for self growth and never back down from a challenge! You go girls!

Hey Tamara!

I’m a variety content creator and Twitch streamer who is working towards a Marketing degree with a minor in Communications. Being an ambassador for Schae’s Place helps me explore new things and add adorable fashion staples to my wardrobe and to brighten up my living space!

What inspires Tamara artistically?

Laetitiaky is my art role model! As a black girl, I was all around relaxers as hair products because my hair was too thick. Ever since the start of the pandemic, I did my big chop and started growing out my hair. She popped up on my FYP and I was amazed by how she transformed her locs to sculptures, and it ultimately boosted my confidence to start wearing my natural hair in my videos and other content platforms!

Hey Marcaren!

I hope to be one of the people who bring positivity to my city because I am a Memphis girl at heart --

we got more than just Pooh Shiesty and GloRilla!”

She is adventurous, crafty, and fun! She loves to embrace her inner child (as we all should) and works hard to perfect her craft as a licensed natural and protective hairstylist in Memphis, TN.

What are Marcaren’s goals with being in this program?

  • Promoting this brand and the items, as I’m sure my audience would eat them up!
  • Putting Schae’s Place creations to great use and making them look as best I can.
  • Pushing myself to be consistent with content, editing, and posting with purpose.
  • Practicing the influencer lifestyle I hope to live one day.

Hey Ofelia!

“I started creating waist beads in January 2021 during my pregnancy with my twins. It was a perfect new hobby to engage in and I began to create and wear so many different colors that I gradually found an attraction to its history, significance, and rewarding emotional and spiritual connection…”

Today, HER Waistbeads has expanded from a hobby to an in-person store in Las Vegas, NV. She hosts workshops, hangouts, and utilizes the space to embrace femininity, boost confidence, and support inner healing.

What inspires Ofelia’s love for waist beads?

Waist beads are an age-old tradition in parts of Africa with distinct meanings, symbols, and history attached to them. They can be visible as a symbol of femininity, celebration, weight loss, or fashion, or hidden as a way of self-care or confidence or intimate appeal.

There are different significant meanings behind each color, crystal, and gemstones. As also in different parts of the World, waistbeads are valued with spiritual, unique reasons.
