PlantCon owes me NOTHING!
This was my first time attending the event and being a part of the staff in-person! Here's why you should make sure to visit if we ever pop up in your city...

As a Plantcon Plantern, my job was to shadow veteran staff members, support the Dallas event, and utilize my creative ideas to help contribute to the growth of the organization remotely. As the largest plant convention in the nation, I'm honored to be a part of the team! As of November 2025, I will be the Digital Communities Lead for PlantCon. Join our public Discord Server or Facebook Group to find more ways to connect with the community and get updates about our upcoming events ~
Why choose PlantCon?
What started as a Facebook group during the COVID-19 pandemic has transformed into a traveling haven for plant owners and admirers. PlantCon takes a lot of pride in supporting the local plant communities of any place we visit while also welcoming imported goods. The effort to support exhibitors, creators, sponsors, volunteers, and staff is immeasurable - from social media highlights to special deals and invitations, there is plenty of love to go around!
Founder of PlantCon, Kenny Nguyen, said, “There’s such a big need in the community for a place for plant people to get together.” (Digital Journal, 2025) When a small idea gets nurtured by the right team miracles can happen! This era of digital interactions has helped fuel the growth of PlantCon and given people from all over the world an opportunity to get involved. Our team is very Gen Z heavy and contribute to ideas rooted in creativity with online-based community efforts. This has made a huge impact on our reach and ability to expand and bring the largest convention in the nation to new heights! Social media, live streaming, podcasting, and other ways to work remotely have given staff the flexible work-life balance they have been looking for.
My goals with PlantCon are to continue building the Discord Community and take initiative in the marketing efforts of the team. As a Twitch streamer and content creator, I am confident that my talents will aid the growth of PlantCon and it's future adventures. I'm grateful to be surrounded by other influencers that have molded their journey for years and share their tips with us all!
Mini Haul!
I flew in out of state, so I didn't get as much as I really wanted to.
I was easily tempted by amazing exhibitors... but kept restraint where I could!

Special guests and amazing people I met:

I'M SCREAMINGGGGG! I can't believe I got to meet one of my favorite plant creators: Paige Tailyn ~ Business owner, plant educator, philanthropist, and plant baddie - she is so kind with contagious energy. She gives exactly the same vibe in person just like her content and it would be so awesome to connect with her in the future - hey girl hey!
In collaboration with PlantCon, The Blossom Effect awarded a one time $3,000 micro grant for the investment of the future of a plant-based business led by LGBTQ+ and BIPOC creators. Congratulations ATX Terrariums! Each month, The Blossom Effect awards $500 to one business rooted in growth, purpose, and community impact. This grant is designed to nurture new ideas, sustain meaningful work, and help visionary plantpreneurs bloom where they’re planted. Apply today at https://www.paigetailyn.com/grant.
Tailyn's content has taught me countless routines and tools to be a better plant owner. By following on all socials, you too can acquire more knowledge for your green thumb journey! Instagram | All Socials

A convention...for just plants?
No way! Although they are the main event, they are just a portion of the many experiences you can encounter at PlantCon. We host workshops, presentations, photo booths, kids corners, and for Dallas 2025 we also highlighted REPTILES! As a surprise performance, we also got to jam out to Rocco Elliot's trending TikTok song: Just Me and My Plants.
My favorite presentations were hosted by extremely powerful black women. Their intentional practices and deep rooted connections to nature/life were something many of us resonated with. I'm grateful to take home tools for wellness and inner growth that encourage me to think deeper about my place in the world.
"When I return to my plants, I return to myself. I garden without gloves to feel the connection to the earth and nature." -- The Zen Garden
"It's hard to put a price on such a gift, but it's an exchange of energy and deserves to be shared equally." -- Monica's Porch
"Healers don't heal you. They give you the tools to heal yourself."
-- Chef Fie Fie

In summation...
It was an amazing experience! My feet hurt, my voice is gone, and I missed my gaming community, but there is nothing I regret about this trip.
Next up, LOS ANGELES February 2026! Purchase tickets or booths here ~
A huge thank you to attendees, special guests, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and exhibitors for their participation. None of this would happen without all of YOU! If you attended, or desire to come, leave a comment below. I would love to continue discussing PlantCon International!

Absolutely adored this PlantCon in Dallas ! I met so many people whose talents are untouched. This community is home and the staff of PlantCon works like no other; truly inspiring.
Love this and I can’t wait to see all the great things you accomplish as digital communities lead!
